Getting There

The People’s Climate March San Diego will take place at Waterfront Park 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92101. We will meet at the steps on the west side at 11am. We encourage everyone to walk, ride a bike, use public transit, or carpool to the march, and suggest bringing a picnic lunch. We recommend leaving pets at home for their own safety and comfort.

Bus Directions

From Escondido Transit Center – take 235 bus at 8:00 am to the Santa Fe Transit Depot. The Waterfront Park is a 10 minute walk up Pacific Highway.

From Rancho Bernardo Transit Center – take the 235 bus at 8:18 am to the Santa Fe Transit Depot. The Waterfront Park is a 10 minute walk up Pacific Highway.

From Lakeside – take the 848 bus from Maple Street and Vine Street at 7:47 AM, to the El Cajon Transit Center. From there, take the 8:30 am Green Line Trolley to the County Center/Little Italy stop. The Waterfront Park is a one minute walk from the station.

From Imperial Beach – take the 901 bus from Palm Avenue and 9th Street at 8:28 AM to the 12th and Imperial Transit Center. Walk to the 12th and Imperial Transit Center (Bayside). Take the 9:21 am Green Line Trolley to the County Center/Little Italy stop. The Waterfront Park is a one minute walk from the station.

From Carlsbad – take the 101 bus from Carlsbad Bl & Pine Ave at 7:19 AM to VA/UCSD at Gilman Dr & Eucalyptus Grove Ln, then 2 min walk to catch the 150 Old Town Express bus at 8:41 AM to Old Town Transit Center. Take the Green Line Trolley at 9:08 AM to County Center/Little Italy Trolley stop. The Waterfront Park is a one minute walk from the station.

From La Mesa/Spring Valley – go to the Spring Street Transit Station. From there, take the 8:01 am Orange line to the Santa Fe Depot. The Waterfront Park is a ten minute walk from the station.

From El Cajon – go to the El Cajon Transit Center. From there, take the 8:29 Green Line Trolley to the County Center/Little Italy stop. The Waterfront Park is a one minute walk from the station.

Bike Valet

Cyclists are encouraged to ride to the event. There will be a secure lockup with valet service run by the San Diego County Bike Coalition.

Parking near 1600 Pacific Highway

There is an underground parking lot below the County Administration Center. The entrance is on W. Ash St. Cost is usually $10.

The B Street Pier has parking for $12 when there is no cruise ship in port (if there is no special event).
